Water Displacement Vacuum Sealing
A simple way to remove air from a bag using water pressure instead of a machine.
What it does
Creates a near vacuum seal using water instead of a vacuum device.
How it works
When a bag is slowly submerged in water, the water pressure pushes air out of the bag. Sealing it at the right moment traps the contents with very little air inside.
Why it matters
Removing air helps preserve food longer, reduces freezer burn, and improves storage efficiency without needing special equipment.
Simple setup
- Place item in a zip-top bag
- Slowly lower the bag into water (leave the seal open)
- Let water push the air out
- Seal the bag just before it fully submerges
